As a volunteer chaplain in Illinois, I have been using this Bible for nearly 10 years and wouldn't consider using anything else. Inmates can easily understand the words and are always inspired by the testimonies of those whose lives have been transformed by Christ.

This is the best tool to put into the hands of an inmate. It is the Word of God written in a manner they readily understand. It also contains bible studies to help them deal with the issues they face. Through my church's ministry, we have the opportunity to place a bible into the hands of every female inmate who "does time" in a North Carolina prison.

I gave this "Free on the Inside" Bible to an inmate last year; 2006. It was stolen from his cell while they took him to attend a 'hearing' in a neighboring county. I am sending him another as he told me he loved reading it, and he misses it tremendously. Thank You, and God Bless You!!!
