I was alone, a state away from family and friends with no money no job, and no hope.Homeless with only a duffle bag of possesions, and noone to turn to for help. I was arrested and incarsurated for 45 days.Knowing Jesus was truly the only one I could turn to for help I borrowed an inmates bible titled Free On The Inside.I've known christ all my life and thought I knew the scriptures well.I opened the bible and immediately started crying. The more I read the more I prayed.I spent endless hours praying and crying in my cell.I was overwhelmed with God's love for me and felt undeserving of his forgiving me for all I had done in my life. For three and half long years I had'nt seen my two beautiful children.God has ansewered my prayers once again in my life and I am now back in my home state living the dream I had dreamed of for nearly four years.I wrote the Internation Bible Society and asked for a copy of the Free On The Inside bible when I was in Yuma County Colorado Jail. The the bible you guys sent me was the only mail I recieved there. As it turns out the only mail I needed.I wish you guys could've seen the miracles that took place in that jail. Before I left we had organized prayer and study groups that included every single male inmated in that facility including spanish interpataion which was never before offered in that facility.God has renuited me with my family. My wife and I have reconcilied after nearly 4 yrs of divorce. My children are so glad to have there daddy back, and I fight the tears of joy god has given a sinner like me.We attend church together as a family at Elm Grove Baptist Church.I hope to obtain a copy of the NIrV again soon and share it with my family. All glory to our lord and saviour Jesus Christ.I can't thank you enough for your gift to me. Sincerly Michael James Wickwire.

My name is Carie McGowan and I first saw Free on the Inside bible when I was incarcerated in the Pinellas County Jail in Clearwater, FL. I call it 'bible for dummies' because the scriptures are broken down so well that they are so easy to understand.
