God and Me aims to help children find out all about God: what He is like, how he cares for them, and how He wants them to live in His world. Familiar situations and everyday experiences encourage the child to think about Christian values. Each day includes a Bible reference for a story or passage that links to that day's topic, and a prayer or prayer idea to help the child develop his or her relationship with God.

God and Me is based on the biblical teaching that God is our creator and provider, and that He is loving, giving, and just. The Christian values that the child explores through the book are those outlined in Jesus' teaching in Matthew 5-7, and in Paul's letters to the Galatians and the Colossians.

Penny Boshoff is a freelance writer and editor of Bible resources for children and adults. She has helped children explore the Bible and discover God's message through Sunday groups and vacation Bible school for over 15 years. She now has three young children of her own. Penny has worked as Publishing Coordinator for Scripture Union and is currently a member of the Scripture Union Council.
