News from the Front
From Chaplain Chuck Adams, CH (COL) U.S. Army, Retired
Attached is a testimony
from a U.S. Army Chaplain in Iraq. This story was told to me by another Chaplain at Ft. Campbell, KY, and I requested a copy of the story, along with the photos.
This Chaplain was on a convoy, bringing Bibles from a rear supply area out to his forward operating base (FOB). Their Humvee received a sudden jolt and had to be towed on to the FOB. As the story says, upon inspection, a live RPG (rocket propelled grenade) was lodged into the motor—and still alive! The Humvee was packed with the Bibles we had sent to the unit.
From then on, when this unit had a resupply convoy, they asked the Chaplain to put a case of our diggie cammo Bibles in EVERY VEHICLE! A bit superstitious, you might think—but it opened an opportunity for this Chaplain to get more Bibles to more troops than he had before.
Thanks for YOUR part in making this possible!
